Why do McDonald’s and other multinational fast food chains get such a bad rep for exporting standardized American consumer products around the globe? Sure, you can get a Big Mac in the shadow of Rome’s Colosseum and Chicken McNuggets at the Louvre, but McDonald’s takes the time to adjust its menu to the tastes and preferences of each market it enters. There’s no intent to Americanize the world. Well, as far as I know.
